THE 4th

 Oh, July 4th.
I love you.
You might be my favorite holiday.
Summertime, festive colors, good food, hoopla.
Yep, you're a pretty close front runner for my favorite Holiday.
Right next to Thanksgiving.

We enjoyed the long weekend, and having Daddy home all weekend.
We watched 2 rounds of fireworks, spent time on the lake, went to the pool, ate bbq, had movie night, cleaned the garage, and took pictures to prove it all.

A great long weekend was had by all.

This picture is a perfect personality indicator of Emerson.
Mouth wide and taped in.
I'm honestly surprised the tape held her in.
Soon she'll find her way out the window.  I'm certain.
Sister is keeping us ON OUR TOES.
She's a funny little thing full of personality.
I love her little sweet spirit though.
My little bull in a china shop.

Happy Birthday America.
We sure do love this land!

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a nice laid back weekend.
Cloudy mornings and sunny afternoons.
Lance had to work Saturday but my mom cam and spent the afternoon with us.
Any day we can spend with her is a win.
Sunday we all slept in then went to the mall.
Then sun finally came out & we headed to the lake.
Mexican for supper.
Monday was more of the same!
The little's love the lake.
Easton just wants to step in the water in his Crocs when Lance puts the boat in or takes it out.
And eat snacks.
Emerson is so content.
She gets comfy in my lap or her seat and she's just along for the ride.
Me? Give me sunshine, happy little's & my boo driving the boat and I'm good to go.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Weekend Happenings

Can I really title this Weekend Happenings when nothing really happened?

It was a laid back, low key weekend.
Kirby's back went out this past week and we got to bring her home on Friday.
Lots of prayers have been prayed over this little dog.
She'll be 12 in November.  We know she won't live forever, but we weren't ready to give up.
She has movement back in both back feet and has regained bladder control so we're on the up and up.
She walks with the help of a pair of my tights- looped under her hips and held in our hand for support.
Lance has built her a wheelchair but I have to make a fabric sling for the front of it first.
Our first baby...we've roped the moon for her.

Saturday we went for BBQ for lunch.
We did a little shopping after and headed back home.
The kiddos had a nap, Emerson with me and we had pancakes for supper.
I worked on Rulers and the boys cleaned up MY laundry room.
It's become 'the duck room' filled and overflowing with camo & hats & ammo & duck feathers.

Sunday we got up and got ready for church and even headed that way.
However, we were going to be too late so we turned around.
Emerson and I had us a little late morning nap then we headed to the driving range & got Mexican for lunch.
The boys played outside and Emerson and I did a little Barn Sale work then we all went for a walk/run/bike ride.
It was a beautiful afternoon!
Lance cooked dinner {grilled tilapia, brown rice, sweet potato/apple concoction}and washed dishes.
I'd call this weekend a success.

I hope your weekend was enjoyable!

Our weekend

Our weekend was nice and laid back.
Mexican with my brother &nsister in law Friday night.
Saturday morning snuggles.
Blueberry muffins.
Blueberry muffins could be my all time favorite breakfast food.
Fresh out of the oven, split in the middle with a dollop of butter.  Not much better.
A beautiful tease of Spring time.
A trip to Lowes.
A few bots of bulbs.  Hyacinth & Tulips.
A nice walk outside.
Practicing baseball in the back yard.
We skipped Church because Easton picked up a bad cough after swim lessons Tuesday.
We didn't want to spread our germs.
He and daddy did more yard work and Emerson and I went to the Mall.
My dad met up with us for lunch and a quick shop.
An interesting trip home with a screaming baby who refused to eat once I pulled in to the nearest parking lot.
We were pushing our 4 hour limit when we stopped and she finally ate 5 hours.
Lance had to bring a bottle of pumped milk from the freezer.
Talk about stressful.
But we ended the night with Rotisserie Chicken and Slice & Bake cookies.
All is well.

We've got a big week ahead.
It's BIRTHDAY PARTY WEEK!!!
Let's all just stay outside until Saturday, as to avoid any {more} mess inside m'kay?
Joking!
Sort-of.
We're having a baseball party and I can't wait to celebrate the ONE who made me a momma!
It's all about him this week, and even into next as his birthday is Tuesday!
Let the fun begin!

How was your weekend friends?
