Get It Before You Get It

I'm the rule follower in the family, however when it comes to someone telling me to rush out and get the flu shot, I don't jump.  I make my own choices. I didn't get the flu shot, nor the flu while I was pregnant but now that Easton is here, and in day care, I went against my 'we don't get the flu shot' mantra and bit the bullet...or shall I say Easton did.  He got his shot today and will go back in 30 days for the 2nd shot.  I will get mine at the time of his second shot.  I'll have to say, I almost backed out when I had to sign a waiver stating that there are dangers/possible side effects with the flu shot (as with any other vaccines) and that it was my choice to vaccinate my child. 

But, he got it. 

I thought we better 'get it before we get it'...right???

He was a tough lil cookie. 

Didn't even cry.

I told him if he was really good we could go to Target when we got finished...

and he was...

so we did...

:) 

So far, so good...hopefully we won't have any of the side effects that lovely waiver warned of!
